About Chinese Cultural Academy
The Chinese Cultural Academy in Evanston shares space with the Zen Buddhist Temple of Chicago and continues a Tai Chi Chuan tradition established by Professor Huo Chi-Kwang. The school teaches Chen Family and Yang Secret styles with an emphasis on principles, balance and meditative practice.
Tai Chi Classes
A new cohort begins Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 10:00 AM. The first class is free and the cohort then meets weekly, except on the first Saturday of each month when the temple holds an all-day meditation retreat.
